Message from Hannah May: Hey Goals!

We are doing another fundraiser for Kitmas this year. For those who don’t know, it’s an initiative where local sports groups collect cash for football shirts. These are then gifted to kids who otherwise might not get a present for Christmas.

We’ve teamed up with Hackney foodbank who are going to distribute the shirts for us. They went down really well last year so it would be great to give them the same again this time.

I totally appreciate cash is tight for lots of people right now, and I certainly don’t expect donations! If you do have some spare money you can donate at the link below :) We're already at 143% of the total. This means at least 15 shirts! Hannah will close the fundraiser on Tuesday afternoon so if you do want to donate now's your chance.

Message from Coach Rosanna: I am hosting one of my Goal Drawing Workshops on Thursday 15th December, 6-7pm in Valderrama’s (163 Uppers Street) with Baller FC, before the Arsenal vs Lyon game! For only £10 you will be drawing your dream or favourite goals onto handmade screen prints and taking your creations away with you! You can also draw onto limited edition screen printed tote bags for £19 to make a one of a kind bag for you or even as a Christmas gift! Do both or just one - it is a super fun way of getting creative before the Champions League game! No drawing skills needed. We will then be heading to the Arsenal game at the Emirates afterwards - If you don’t have a ticket for the game you can still come to the workshop! The game will be shown at Valderrama’s too. Workshop ticket (drawing on print or tote):

Get a completed tote bag (without drawing on it yourself). I will be bringing some to training on Wednesday too!

Go support Rosanna’s art practice, have loads of fun and make some artwork.

BONUS FUTSAL! Injury dependent Rosanna may also be playing on BT Sport at 12:45pm for Bloomsbury Futsal this Saturday!

Last week this group of goals won the penalty shootout at the Sunday Intermediate tournament. Seems like we're on a winning streak at tourneys? POTM was Kendall!

Another lovely week at training!

What a great result for our first beginners game at the Goalposts League on Monday in Stratford, despite having no subs! It was a stellar team effort with some great ball distribution as well as movement throughout, which ended in GDFC securing a 6-1 win over Baesianz FC. Miranda got player of the match for scoring her first two goals as well as for a beautiful assist which lead to a further goal.

10-1 win!? Well played goals! Coach Amy's potm was Martha and Captain Alex's potm was River.

Another wonderful kickaround - some beautiful team play and end to end football.

Isy Wilson won player of the week for the non bibs for her super defence - she read the game well, made fab tackles and was the first line of attack with lots of gorgeous balls up the wing.

Fred won player of the week for the bibs for their incredible keeping, fantastic shots and their amazing ability to stay calm & look for the pass.

Farida also had a roast at the pub - so really everyone is a winner?
