LEAGUE INFO

Sunday league is now finished, but don't worry we'll be putting the NEW LEAGUES (beginners, intermediate and advanced) up in the Store on Friday. We'll send a message out to all you goals when we do!

New post time for Experienced 11 aside - this will go up on Mondays at 7.30pm - so that we have longer to get a team together. Thanks Lorraine for organising that.

FIXTURES

TRAINING

  • We need 2 volunteers to help with an interview for Azeema Magazine, a magazine focused on POC women and non-binary people, about inclusive football clubs in London. If you're willing to be interviewed briefly at training this week, please let Gaia know!

  • By the way, the next keeper session is next Wednesday (9th of March).

  • A reminder that if you have Covid you should still not attend training even though government guidelines have changed.

SHOUT-OUTS

TUESDAY 7s:

We hope Emma feels better soon after a nasty clash against East Finchley. Lots of love xx

TRAINING:

Players of the week from training were Frewyn, Hannah and Shiv. ICONS. Well done all on a great session!

SATURDAY 11s

Very experienced Saturday 11s lost 3-0 to Rising Ballers, but players and fans agreed that the scoreline didn't represent the quality of football on display. Coach Amy Lester awarded player of the match to Hannah Wright (that's a double this week!) for her chameleon-like ability to adapt to multiple positions. Captain Kate gave her sticker to Anna Grey who channelled the spirit of a rock in her position as centre back and made some critical tackles.

SUNDAY 5s

All Stars won both of their games on the last day of the season to be awarded 2nd in the league!!! Captain River was unable to pick one player of the day and was moved nearly to tears as she gave the honour to everyone who played today. Kate Allinson won the 'Player of the League', an honour bestowed by the refs to the player who showed the most heart and sportspersonship. And Lottie Strong, with a staggering 13 goals on the day, won the Top Scorer for the season with 43 goals (disputed due to suspicion of clerical error).
