imPRESSive STORIES

Shout out to May Robson - who is featured in the pic below with Pol. May wrote a beautiful long read which is a must read! Check it out:

AND WERE BIG ON GERMAN TV

Here is the piece we did for German TV: Fußball für alle! - ZDFheute

It aired last Friday. Audience of the show is 68 years on average, so we had to simplify some things for them!

SHOUT-OUTS

WEDNESDAY TRAINING

Training was wonderful as always ! Congrats to our players of the week! (and thanks to Mira for the gorgeous shots!)

SUNDAY FOOTBALL (LAST WEEK!)

Absolutely wonderful performance from the Goals this afternoon in searing heat and with squad of just 7 players covering Legends and All Stars. Massive shout out to Coach Liv who as captain really mustered a team that actually grew stronger over the four even in that intense heat . Never the easiest of openers for the All Stars against reigning champions Clapham Wasps who also had a player advantage (7v6) but the final score of 4–1 genuinely flattered them. It was rather bizarre that the next game saw All Stars take on a Canaries side making up the numbers with four Wasps! The narrowest of margins saw Canaries win by a single goal, Paula beaten by a quality one-on-one after making some death-defying saves earlier. The next two games saw the All Stars become Legends not just in name but in the manner they dug deep after going behind coming back to win 3-1 against Inter FC then shutting up shop against SE Elites in the final game of the afternoon! Phew ! So many superlatives on the afternoon. To Ally who played with a swollen knees and Lara who scored a number of excellent goals but Captain Liv selected Hope as player of the day for top notch defending with so many opposition attacks foundering on the rocks of her defending. Squad Paula, Liv, Ally, Hope. River, Lorraine, Lara
