This Wednesday we are back at Mile End grassy pitch. We're in touch with the team there to make sure we get a condition update for the pitch as early as possible. We also have Victoria Park training on Saturday, so sign up for that too :)

THERE'S STILL TIME. A reminder to renew before the 1st of February to continue to have access to GDFC. Before you renew, please read our FAQs in 'News' even if you have been a member for a while!

Any questions – send them to / message Gaia on TeamApp.

Tour secs

We’d love to have 2 tour secs to help us deliver tour this year. All info is in 'News'. Seeing as we need to get this going ASAP, the deadline for applications is 25th Jan.

Partnership Sec

Please see 'News' in TeamApp for the role description for a new committee position. We’d love to have you join us. The deadline for application is the 1st of Feb.

All ages Sec

We’re looking for someone to join the committee as our All Ages Sec. Please apply – we’d love to have you! This is a lower commitment role and we’re also happy for people to apply to support this without joining the committee formally.

Lorraine is doing the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2023. She's raised £194 and her target is £500 and she's doing it on behalf of her dad. The run is on the 5th of February if people would like to come down and support. You can donate here

Last Monday at Stratford was an absolute nail-biter. Judas FC got off to a quick start with an early goal, but Jess soon responded with an effortless equaliser. Whilst Judas FC scored again to go 2-1 up, the game was tight until the very end when an assist from Scarlett saw Sam tuck a lovely goal into the corner of the net with seconds to spare. Some pretty forceful tackles from the other side were met with crickets from the ref, but gdfc kept our cool and there was a particularly strong effort from the defence. Special mention to Nina for some excellent intercepts and moving the ball up the pitch, but player of the match goes to Elaine for her confidence and tenacity in defence.

Captain River's potm at Tuesday 7s was Anna! She was so solid in defence and timed her tackles and stepping to the strikers perfectly. Well done Anna Great!

Jess Keating with the POTM for Legends!

POTM for Esther for being so solid at the back, some great shots and overall v good vibes.

POTM for Paula for making, I think, 1000 saves? A stunning performance in goal.
