It was a rainy and windy day on the marshes, and unfortunately a very cruel 3-1 defeat in the last few minutes! The goals had an absolutely dominating first half however… a great goal from Brooke kicked off a series of wonderful opportunities and some lovely attacking play. The second half we found ourselves having to defend heavily, and for this coach Ransford’s player of the match was Maz, a solid and stable force at the back. Captain Georgia’s player of the match was Catherine for non stop running; if she had a heat map it would be on fire. The Fan’s player of the match went to Abi for 3 super shots on goal that were unfortunate not to end up in the net. A massive thank you to the fans who came out to support - We go again in the new year

The only Sunday match to take place this week was the Advanced 7’s league and with only 4 players that made our task even harder…

A brilliant showing to everyone that showed up to play, captain LHH chose to give player of the week to everyone first of all for showing up but secondly for giving it all on the pitch.

Paula - Goalkeeper extraordinaire. Kept us in both games to the bitter end

Frankie - for being an absolute stalwart at the back and making some great runs to assist the midfield and connecting the attack

Niamh - Playing simultaneously as a winger, CDM and a CAM, with a stunning corner leading to a goal she was all over the place and still had legs to help other teams after the matches!

A 1-0 loss in our first game was an excellent showing and were unlucky not to score followed by a 2-0 victory, scoring a gorgeous headed corner and a lucky deflection saw us take all 3 points from the second match! Everyone bought the vibes and the fun and gave everything on a wonderful winters Sunday afternoon!
