THIS COULD BE YOU!
Oh wow. Can you imagine the weekly newsletter being your way to give back to GDFC? It's so much fun to read all the shout outs for all our fabulous players. You could even write a little weekly update, a story, a fact of the week! Fantastic opportunity! You would have a weekly CAPTIVATED audience (around 115 views on average). Wow. What are you waiting for? If either the Comms sec or the social media sec sound like something you’d be interested in please email info@goaldiggersfootballclub.com.
SUNDAY LEAGUE !!
Look how joyful Lottie is - look at that big grin. That could be YOU! The next Sunday 5s & 7s league is from 20th March - 19th June. The weather will be getting warmer, the days will be getting longer & 11s will be drawing to a close - so go on, sign up & join us for many a joyous SunYay. Come one, come all, come football. Keep your eyes on TeamApp for news on how to sign up!
SHOUT-OUTS
This is all the info I received from Captain Flo this week: 'Player of the game Tuesday 7s. 1-0 win'
I'll embellish a bit. Lorraine has just recently joined this league and she is playing SO WELL. I think it's her 3rd POTW in as many weeks so it's making her shine in all the leagues! You should join this league. It's so fun! Well done Lorraine!
Training was lush! Thanks as ever to our coaches. Players of the week include G Bruce, Annabel (gosh aren't we glad to have her back), and Tati!
Despite the cancellation of the 11s matches, we still wanted to play in some mud.
We played a lovely 7 aside at haggerston park that ended in a 4-3 win for rainey james (bibs)
“The sportsmanship shun through like the moon on a Wednesday night” - Lorraine
POTD - Rachel & Kate
An incredible Sunday from All Stars - over to Captain River who always submits excellent POTM entries:
"We defeated Clapham Wasps for the second time in a row, thanks to a clinical finish from Kate Allinson. The communication, the focus, the precision was unparalleled. It was difficult to choose a player of the match amongst all the stand out performances on display. After much thought it was awarded to Lara Goodwin - because of her work rate, awareness & team play. Next week is the final week of the league & we (All Stars) have a chance to steal the top of the table spot - please come along and cheer us. We need you! A team who cheers together, beers together."
Last week's POTM turned captain Georgia (George) simply had to give POTM to Anna Striker for a stunning goal. Looped it right over the keeper (who was excellent otherwise : Niamh everyone!). Also massive THANKS to Deema who was such a #teamgoal and managed to help out in intermediate 5s so that they had a last minute player.
