TRAINING

I hope you all enjoyed the new 'GDFC warmup'! We'll be going ahead with that on all training weeks going forward.

Just to remind you, as soon as it's 7, get on the pitch and get ready to go:

7:00-7:15: small square possession game, up to 5 v 5 players, all abilities together, 10 passes = 1 goal!

7:15-7:20: split into training groups and do a dynamic warm-up and names & pronouns while you stretch

EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION

Following updated guidance from the Amateur FA, we would like to have emergency contact details for our members in case of an emergency.

We will only access this information if there is an emergency. One of the 4 committee TeamApp admins will look it up.

This is not a requirement for members, but if you are happy to have any details shared with the club then please go to the settings icon on the app, click personal details, click the edit icon & add a contact. Thank you!

The shoot is taking place w/c April 4th and is paid around £1000 per day for adults (over 18) and £600 for kids.

- how do you support your team?

SHOUT-OUTS

TUESDAY 7s

We didn't get a pic but Captain Flo's POTM was Farida for excellent passing out from the back!

SATURDAY 11s (from River)

It was the last game for Very Experienced Saturday 11s, and a bittersweet end as the team lost 5-0 to Camden Eagles. Everyone who played in this league should be proud of how much we grew as individual players and as a team. We went through snow, rain, mud, wind and unfortunately dog poo together. For me personally it has been a major part of my life and an experience I will cherish.

Players of the match were Hannah Wallace and Katy Castle. Hannah played in goal and made some stunning saves. Katy Castle's work rate in defence was amazing and she made some crucial blocks.

Massive thank you to Coaches Liv Amos and Amy Lester for their work as player managers in these games. And thanks for filling in on the pitch when we didn't have enough players as well.

TRAINING TOURNAMENT

Well done to all the teams who played and a big shout out to the 'Not Greens' for winning last week's tournament! We hope you enjoyed it!

SUNDAY FOOTIE

The return of Sunday 7s & 5s was as beautiful and goalden as we had all hoped. A big shoutout to Paula for her first week doing Sundays in the role of 'Mat Ches' and for helping out during her lunch break!!

Polly was player of the week for the beginners. An outstanding debut! Thanks to Lorraine for helping out too <3

Liz was player of the week for Legends - her Sunday debut was fantastic, she was everywhere on the pitch, her footwork was beautiful & her team spirit was stunning.

Rachel was player of the week for All Stars - another Sunday 7s debut that went oh so well. Rachel's pass completion rate was incredible, she read the game like a book and she dug so deep. We were also treated by the presence of many a fan (Ally, Michael & the intermediate team) and we were spoilt by the most goalden of hours. Bring on next Sunday! And thanks to all the goals that made today so stunning X
