2021 marks 100 years since the infamous FA ban on Womxn’s football. Join us for a panel discussion to learn about and celebrate the footballers who fought against the ban, and those still fighting today.
In partnership with the National Football Museum, we will be launching our exciting ‘Protest Kit’, designed by the amazing goal & artist Lily Grant. This kit showcases some of the stories of the incredible and defiant womxn who fought to play "for the love of the game".
The kit will be available to pre-order during the event, with one lucky attendee receiving a free kit!
The kit will officially #drop 100 days after the event to mark the 100 years of defiance. All GDFC members will receive a subsidised kit. Members of the public will pay the full price, so please share info about this beautiful kit & kit launch event with everyone you know. The more kit sales, the more revenue we raise for GDFC. Something which is much needed without our MOZF income.

Hello goals!
Submissions are now open for issue 4 of GDFC Mag! The theme for this issue is 100 years. This marks the FA’s ban on women’s football a century ago. Submissions do not need to be about the ban or football related. As usual, we encourage you to interpret the theme as widely or as closely as you please.
The deadline for submissions is Sunday 28th February.
If you have any ideas or would like to contribute to issue 4 as a writer, illustrator or in any other way, please email me at mag@goaldiggersfootballclub.com.
GDFC Mag is written for and by the community. Everyone is welcome to contribute, regardless of experience. You can read our previous issues here.
We are looking for material for the following sections:
NEWS AND FEATURES - A longer-length piece (max 1750 words) related to the theme, however tenuously.
CREATIVE - Creative writing, poetry, art, drawing, photography, cartoons.
COLUMNS - Short form opinion pieces.
FOOD - Cookery tips and recipe ideas.
LIFESTYLE - Fashion, health, fitness, football.
GDFC CRUSH - Do you have a GDFC crush? Tell them anonymously here. Please, keep it clean.
AGONY AUNT - Do you have a problem for our agony aunts to solve? Are you a dab hand at offering advice? Let us know.
ENTERTAINMENT - Reviews or recommendations (books, film, music, podcasts, online theatre, TV, activities, things to do - you name it).
