As he goes into his seventh season with the club, Josh is stepping up to become the Head of Coaching for Goal Diggers. Josh has played an integral part to helping the club grow and improve, and we are excited for him to take on this role to help us continue to excel. Josh will continue to coach training Wednesday’s, as well as help drive the club’s overall coaching vision, planning and operations. As always, if you have any feedback regarding coaching, please reach out to

The new kit has arrived! Laura Howard-Harman will be organising collection at training/matches. We will start wearing the new kit after 01 October.

Thanks to Ciara & the coaches for running a great tournament at training last week. Was great to get to meet lots of new people! There’s a folder with some pictures here:

Please add any more you took!

Our next 40+ event is on 30th September at Britannia Leisure Centre's stunning new rooftop pitches (N1 5FT). The session is open to players over 40 of all abilities and will run from 7.45-9pm.

Please help us spread the word - a tweet or an IG post can go a long way!

Thank you to everyone who filled out the Team App survey for this - the most popular dates proved to be Monday 20th Sept, Tuesday 21st Sept, Tuesday 12th October.

Our course designer and facilitator Hayley Bennett can no longer make Tues 21st Sept so we’re in the process of establishing the next best date option to replace this particular session. In the meantime, you can find Event listings for the following virtual anti-oppression training sessions on the Team App calendar:

  • Monday 20th September, 6-8pm

  • Tuesday 12th October, 6-8pm

Training is completely free of charge and we’d like to encourage as many members (including committee, long-standing and new-comers) as possible to attend 1 x 2hr session. Our hope is that this training will allow us to move forward as a whole club and ensure that every member understands and is committed to upholding and furthering our club values around inclusion and equality.

A shout out to Bina for getting this beaut GDFC tattoo - we dig it! Xx
