I hope you all enjoyed the new 'GDFC warmup' last week! We'll be going ahead with that on all normal training weeks going forward.
Just to remind you, as soon as it's 7, get on the pitch and get ready to go:
7:00-7:15: small square possession game, up to 5 v 5 players, all abilities together, 10 passes = 1 goal!
7:15-7:20: split into training groups and do a dynamic warm-up and names & pronouns while you stretch

SunYay league re-starts THIS Sunday come & join the fun! If you are on the fence - please note that we often get visits from our number one fan Bruce the pup aka Pup Guardiola. Woof.

Big shout-out to Zowie on an excellent game last Tuesday. She dug very deep and made lots of gorgeous passes. Captain Flo gave POTM to Millie for a great game too!

GIRLS UNITED TOURNAMENT
Congrats to both teams on a wonderful tournament! Extra thanks to the Adday for coming down last minute, Captains Dee & Millie, Hannah for helping out with the beginners team, Anokhi on her GDFC debut and tbh everyone on making it such good vibes!
Captain Millie's player of the week was Kate and Captain Dee's was Adday! Fan's POTM went to Hope!
ROOFTOP KICKAROUND
Everyone was on (roof)top form this week at our kickaround! It was so hard to pick a player of the week from each team - but the decision had to be made.
Rachel Kay was picked from Team Blue & renamed "Special Kay" for a tenacity & delicious goals. Cara Bruce was picked from Team White for her skill at reading the game, her pass completion rate and her team spirit. She dug deep. Izzy was picked from Team Red for her silky skills and even silkier shots. She was an unstoppable force and a real "menace" on the pitch. Fleur was picked from Team Green for her "twinkling toes" and for always finding the pass. A super Sunday. Thanks all. Xx
A shout out to Treasurer Alex for booking us 2 goalorious rooftop pitches this Sunday for a kickaround. Such a treat! And a shout out to all the pool playing goals at the pub after - such a pool of talent ;)
