ASTROGOAL: AUGUST HOROSCOPES

As August kicks off, remember to dig deep, keep your ethos strong, and have fun—both on and off the pitch. Whether it’s training, match day, or our MOZF night, read below on how the stars are aligning for you, Goal Diggers!

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

  • Best Match Days: Saturday

  • Training Focus: Creativity and flare

Aries, August kicks off with the New Moon in Leo on the 4th, setting your pitch ablaze with passion and a flair for the dramatic. Expect to dribble past defenders with a newfound playfulness, especially during Wednesday night training sessions. However, with Mercury retrograding in your 5th house of creativity and self-expression on the 5th, don’t be surprised if your usual game is a bit offside. Miscommunications might lead to some mix ups, so double-check your tactics and communicate on the pitch. The Full Moon in Aquarius on the 19th highlights your teamwork and friendships. It’s a prime time to dig deep, rally the squad, or even attend a friendly in Victoria Park. As Virgo season begins on the 22nd, shifting focus routines and health, you’ll find yourself meticulously planning your game strategy or perfecting post-training fuel. And don't forget MOZF on the 30th—attend for the astro-nomical DJs and all the Club classics.

The Full Moon on the 19th shines on your house of higher learning and travel, so consider watching some international footy for inspiration. Virgo season kicks in on the 22nd, focusing on home and comfort—ideal for organising your kit and perfecting your matchday rituals. PLAYER SHOUT-OUTS

We're light on match reports this week - please remember to keep sending in your POTMs so we can publicly praise all our amazing goals!

Saturday Clubs Utd (27 July)

Despite a 9am Saturday morning kick off, FCGD brought the energy and vibes! The other team were relentless, genuinely don’t remember how many goals they scored but it didn’t matter because we kept digging and eventually scored THREE top notch goals all in the final five minutes. Scotty scored from Maeve’s amaeving corner, then Scotty assisted Brooke's stunning left hand corner goal, then the final goal came from Scotty with a Maz assist. Jay very deservingly won POTM from Hells Bells and I gave ours to both Maeve and Scotty for giving everything!

Monday Chobham (29 July)

What a time to be boiling alive at Chobham! Most players played the whole 40 min match, and the energy never dropped for a single second

Whippets made us work hard for the win, but in the end we secured a solid 6-1 victory, with goals from Izzy C, Izzy F, Ramune and Ellie

Maike and Ellie played an absolutely ruthless defence, they never let up for a second, Izzy C's speed upfront was like nothing you've ever seen, overall we had over 20 shots on goal!

Captains POTM goes to Ramune, not only were they always creating space, they took a penalty when the rest of us were too scared to (lol) and smashd it into the back of the net

They also then stepped up to the plate when Rachel quite literally put her body on the line to stop a powerful shot and played a blinder in goal. They are the absolute definition of an all rounder

Arguably one of, if not the best match, we've ever played, against a very fierce competitor!
