COACHING CORNER
A couple of great results on Saturday brought the last week of January to a satisfying close. Two goals from va Bella Borg, plus strikes from Becky Taylor Goal and Rachel Field saw off Lush Lyfe at Clapham Common. Walterpam Ferris converted from the spot as we picked up another win in the league. Well done to everyone who played. Attention turns to training next Saturday, before a run of three fixtures in consecutive weeks. Set those alarms ⏱️
This Wednesday training will be with Josh and Kitty. Out of possession we'll be working on pressing, and in possession we'll be looking at switching the play. To prepare for the session, have a think about the characteristics of teams who press high up the pitch, and why switching the play can be effective.

We are looking for advanced / intermediate players to join a voluntary managers group to help manage and support with the Thursday/Thursday beginners Super5s games and Sunday beginners 7/5aside LaLiga games. If you are keen, please let Ciara Robinson know via the chat function on the app.

GOALS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN
We’re now into a new month… and that means a NEW GDFC social! On Friday 7th February (that’s this Friday!) we’re bringing you GDFC does karaoke. Kick off is 8pm at the K Hole on Kingsland Road in Dalston. It’s free entry before 10pm, and there will be some free food and drinks for the early birds. Please RSVP to the event in the app so we can gauge numbers, and warm up those vocal chords! xxx

WHO RUNS THE WORLD? GOALS
